Grameenphone launched a new digital music platform named GP Music that is expected to revolutionize the Bangladeshi music industry. GP Music which will host thousands of Bangla songs - a rich collection of both classic hits and exclusive new releases aiming to help music lovers and musicians to bring back the glory of the pre-piracy era.
Due to death of the cassette/CD culture and widespread piracy, it has become equally difficult for artists to get duly compensated for all their hard work. As a result, the industry has been on a downtrend for quite a while. Grameenphone wants to break this hopeless trend and give artists the respect they deserve.
