• For volume based packages, if the data gets expired before validity period, customers will still be able to enjoy internet at BDT 0.01/10KB without VAT and can continue browsing.
• After expiration of the validity, if the customer has sufficient cash balance/credit limit in his/her account, respective package will be renewed automatically.
• To stop the auto renewal feature, customers will have to type OFF and send it to 5000 and to resume the service, type ON and send SMS to5000.
• To check remaining data volume, type VIEW and send SMS to 5000 or just Dial *567*1# (free of charge).
• To check used data volume, type USAGE and send SMS to 5000 or dial *567*2# (free of charge).
• Customers will receive usage notification SMS after crossing different thresholds of allotted data volume.
• Grameenphone strongly recommends its valued internet subscribers who use smart phones (e.g. Apple iPhone, Android handsets like Samsung Galaxy, HTC or Windows phones) to avoid using the internet Pay As You Go package considering the fact that these smart devices initiates internet sessions in the background to synchronize & update different applications. It is recommended that Smart phone users take the Minipack 25MB or Minipack 150MB or above based on their data need.
• For Pay As you Go package, customers will not be able to use internet after crossing the limit of BDT 300 before 30 days. After completing the validity period of 30 days, this package will be automatically reset and customers will be able to browse internet again.
• For volume based packages, to avoid bill shock GP restricts to use more than 200 MB (maximum) extra usage fee at the rate of Tk 0.01 / 10 KB. In addition to that GP also allows to carry forward upto 200 MB (max, 20 MB for 3MB & 4MB packs) unused internet volume from previous balance.
• Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is applicable for Heavy Internet Packages i.e. after 5 GB for Heavy Usage Pack (24 hours) and after 2GB for Night Time Heavy Usage Pack.
• As per FUP, speed will be throttled down to 24 kbps during the remaining validity period. Normal speed will be restored in next bill cycle or activation.
• Customers will receive SMS notification when FUP will be enforced.
• In case of post-paid customers, it might be delayed to get the updated remaining volume balance information.
• In case of new subscription of post-paid volume based internet packages, it will show the cumulative volume and will show the maximum validity period.
